

Duet Dance Company 2025-2026
Duet Dance Company serves as Duet Dance Academy’s program for our most talented dancers who would like to take their dance training to the next level. The Company is divided into multiple levels to group dancers with similar levels of technique and experience. Company members train 5 to 9 hours per week in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and other optional styles of dance to develop skilled technique, advanced movement, and superb performance quality. These dancers attend regional competitions, conventions, and other performance opportunities where they represent Duet Dance Academy. They are expected to be well-rounded, poised, extremely focused, and to give the commitment expected of Company Members.

Company members must attend all competitions and conventions. This will include two regional dance competitions and three regional conventions.

Company members must attend a week-long Summer Intensive where they will train in technique and learn choreography for the upcoming dance season. Guest teachers and choreographers will be brought in house to work with each group. They must also attend a choreography workshop to begin working on their full company production number.

Company members must remain enrolled in all required Company classes throughout the year.

Company members MUST attend all rehearsals/tech rehearsals for our annual Nutcracker performance (select weekend days throughout the fall)

Company members MUST attend all rehearsals/tech rehearsals the week of our annual recital.

Company members are expected to be present, physically and mentally, for all classes. Company members are allowed three (3) excused absences each semester (half of the dance year). Missing company classes for homework or other activities is not acceptable.

Popstars Program 2025-2026

Our Popstar Team serves as Duet Dance Academy’s program for our Elementary aged recreational dancers who would like to take their dance training to the next level and take a small step into the competitive world of dance without taking on our entire Company commitment.​​
​
Popstar members must attend one mandatory rehearsal hour per week as well as register for at least one other Company Prep Level Class (either Jazz or Ballet). It is recommended that Popstar dancers take both technique classes if possible. They are expected to be well-rounded, poised, and focused.

Popstar Members must:

Be enrolled in their mandatory weekly Popstar rehearsal class and one additional Company Prep technique class

Attend ALL Popstar scheduled events and ALL Popstar regular and extra rehearsals

Attend one week of a mandatory Summer Intensive July 7th to 11th (1.5 hours of class each afternoon)

Participate in all Popstar competitions and conventions (2 per season)

Participate in the year-end recital

Popstar Cost - TBA. One fee per month August through May. Fee includes tuition, Popstar Team Fee, and Costume Fee

Duet Dance Crew 2025-2026
Duet Dance Crew serves as Duet Dance Academy’s program for our hip hop dancers who would like to take their dance training to the next level. The Crew is divided into two levels to group dancers with similar levels of technique and experience. Admission to our Crew is by audition only. Crew members train 1 hour per week to develop skilled technique, advanced movement, and superb performance quality. These dancers attend two regional competitions where they represent Duet Dance Academy. They are expected to be well-rounded, poised, extremely focused, and to give the commitment expected of Crew Members.
